*THE GHOST*

Woke up one night
In the haunted room where i laid quiet
I heard rapid knocks on the door
And scratching on the balconey slope
somewhere in the distance
What does Morris want from me this night
I wondered and called out to him
But he stired beside me
In his chlorosome sleep
Who then is at the door?

The time was still,i was in a total daze
Fear took my hands
As i got down from the bed
I walked towards the door and called out
"Dad, is that you?"
an echo murmured back my name 'Victor'
and said nothing more
Unthinking,i turned the keyknob and open the creaking door
To the doorway.

I pointed my torch to the thick darkness
To the end of the alley and saw nothing.

I turned back to my room
And heard the whimp of an animal down the stairs
I felt my servile body go cold
Perhaps my soul froze
I couldn't say.

With fear,i ran back to my room
Like an eagle swimming into the woods.
When i got to my room
I saw a white shadow lurking above my brother
I screamed in that perfect silence
But my voice was scared than i was
For it refused to come out.

I wanted to run back to call dad
But a hand pulled me back
I turned to see a Strange Old man
with Big brown beard,Dark hair, black clothes
And his face, i couldn't see.

I felt a funeral in my brain
My head sway to and fro
till i thought that sense was breaking through
My lips framed,but Words reclined.

The moon illuminated the room now
With this ghost's face to mine
I couldn't feel his breathing,neither did i feel mine
And all the time,Morris stir in his chlorosome sleep.

The dead man laid a clammy hand
hard on my shoulder bone
My eyes went waltzing out in red and blue
And arbitrary blackness gloomed in—
I shut my eyes
And the ghost dropped dead.

From hence,
My room became a gaol
And morris knew not what happened.
