Why did they think me a coward
Because I decline their kegs of wine
And reject their company of immoral adventures
They mocked and clasped their scornful hands
Because I said No!

We can climb any height on the wind of sex
Seeking comfort in deep emotional clans
She mocked and clasped her scornful hands
Because I said NO!

God, since when has modesty loosed its value
And morality a rag of flirts
Has the marauding darkness grown to thick
That the righteous suffers the fate of the unjust
This same jewel of discipline around the waist of my youth
Has become a reproach among friends

Things I've seen in this confused side of life
My untutored tongue cannot say
Compromise to gain acceptance
Or live with the stigma of uncertified impotency
