O great visitor
The messenger of yonder realm
The threat of mankind across the ages
The fear of humanity in all centuries
No iron gates may stop you
No mortar strength stands on your way
You are the end of the dream and the dreamer
You the great beast
The wayfarers of life who encountered you
Had their active limbs forever lame
Their mouths forever dumb
Their eyes forever blind
Their ears forever deaf
Some of them were the bravest of men
Who once upon a time lived
But you are mightier than mortal their wisdom
You take as you will
Some sometimes too sudden
Leaving behind the cursed to flourish
Why do you beckon at love and pious souls
While evil men prosper
You are the gatekeeper of the realm of unknown
The dark tunnel into the endless mystery of eternity
The custodian of the chariots of the underworld
Has the rich men forgotten your name?
As the desperate fools abandoned your coming?
What use is clustered bans
When its owners slumbers on the bed of eternity
In the quiet chamber of his grave
Mighty men who were once known
Are now quickly forgotten
So if the wind is beating you so hard
Do not cast your head down to cry
Life itself is not permanent
So either you live happy or sad
You will die anyway
Then why not just live happy
And refuse to cry
