When I remember what Christmas use to be as a child
The gladness in the sounds of bangers
The gay children and the busy street
I wish to go back to the past and remain there

When I remember those happy moments in the river
The naked boys and girls
Covered with love and innocence
I wish to go back to the past and remain there

When I remember the days
When mama was not too old
When she use to sits with us singing
I enjoyed her tales of old and pot of porridge
I just wish to go back to the past and remain there

Today, I'm lone wayfarer
Walking down this place you call life
In the past, I truly loved
Today, only a fool will be too trusting
I cry when I'm hurt as a child
Today, vengeance is mine

Maybe I'm foolish or wiser now
Be the judge if you want
A chance to grow up again is all I ask
When I remember the peace of childhood
I just wish to go back to the past and remain there
